The church organ is a very impressive instrument, and it has so many possibilites for improvisation and for making modern music. And the classic improvisation tradition is kept still alive among the classical intepreters of the church organ. This is because it is needed with improvisation during the service.
I am not a classical organ player, but I have brought everything I know from the hammond organ and music/composition in general, and I love to play on the church organ. But I do it on it`s own condition, I don`t pretend it`s a B3.

Listen to these clips from the grand organ of the Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim. This is excerpts from a complete free improvisation which took place as a "good bye" when I moved from Trondheim, as I was become were found of this organ.
